East Texas State Fair
Tyler has a wide range of attractions to visit year-round for residents and tourists traveling to Tyler. A highlight of the early fall season is the East Texas State Fair held in Tyler. The average annual attendance is about 250,000 visitors.
The 2024 10-day East Texas State Fair will be held on September 20-29, 2024.
The fair features food, carnival rides, live concerts, horticulture show, art show, livestock competition, photography compeition, Senior Day, and much more.
The East Texas State Fair is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes through the operation of an annual event promoting education, entertainment and the spirit of competition. The Fair is committed to agricultural heritage,families and service to the community. Its mission is also to create commerce for Tyler and Smith County by providing venues for others to utilize and by drawing participants to the complex. Since 1992 the East Texas State Fair has offered $413,000 in scholarships.
In 2024, the fair is moving to a new location, at 11315 State Highway 64 West in Tyler.
