Tyler is growing! The 2010 census figures show Tyler's population at 96,900 or 15.8% higher than the 2000 census count of 83,650. And Smith County's population was reported to be 209,714, a 20% increase from 174,706 in 2000.
There is lots of other good news in Tyler, like the recent opening of the Grande Boulevard extension from Broadway to Paluxy, and the second extension from Paluxy to Troup Highway. And groundbreaking was held on January 21, 2011, for Segment 3B of Toll Loop 49, the segment between Highway 110W and I-20. The
Old Jacksonville corridor features exciting new businesses such as The Rage Salon, and FRESH by Brookshire's.
